Elon Musk debuts new Charlie Chaplin moustache

After apparently performing a Nazi salute at Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration, Elon Musk has since played down his support for fascism by growing out a toothbrush moustache.

The Tesla CEO was criticised after appearing to give the Sieg Heil salute on stage at Washington DC’s Capitol One Arena, though has since denied any wrongdoing.

“I’ve always been a big Chaplin fan,” Musk admitted. “I just thought I’d try out a new look. Comedy is legal on X now, didn’t you know that? Plus it’s a New Year, so new me and all that.

“As for the salute, it was nothing more than a little nod to Alan Shearer. He always used to put his right arm up whenever he scored, or so my lawyers have told me. This was me ‘scoring’ in the political arena.

“People will jump on anything these days. You can’t even pop out to Aldi wearing an SS uniform without someone having a heart attack.

“I like the colour. Sue me.”

Musk was spotted at the Trump inauguration alongside fellow billionaire Mark Zuckerberg, who debuted a new look of his own.

“Do you think he liked it?” said a bright orange Mark Zuckerberg, brushing aside his huge blonde quiff.

“He took it as a compliment, right? I mean, it was a bit awkward when I accidentally called him dad, but all in all, I think it went down pretty well.”
